    Trekking / tour schedule

    • Elevation: 1,950m (6,400ft) to 2,650m (8,700ft)
    • Hiking time: 3-4 hours

    The journey begins at the Rongai Gate on the northeastern side of Kilimanjaro. You will hike through lush rainforest on the lower slopes of the mountain to reach Simba Camp, where you'll spend the first night.

    • Elevation: 2,650m (8,700ft) to 3,600m (11,800ft)
    • Hiking time: 6-7 hours

    Today's trek continues through moorland terrain with stunning views of the Kibo summit. You'll camp at Kikelewa Camp, where you'll notice a change in vegetation as you gain altitude.

    • Elevation: 3,600m (11,800ft) to 4,330m (14,200ft)
    • Hiking time: 3-4 hours

    This is a shorter hiking day, allowing for acclimatization. You'll ascend to Mawenzi Tarn Camp, located near a beautiful alpine lake, at the base of Mawenzi Peak.

    • Elevation: 4,330m (14,200ft)
    • Hiking time: Exploration hikes

    This day is set aside for acclimatization. You can take short hikes to explore the area around Mawenzi Tarn Camp, which helps your body adjust to the altitude and enhances your chances of a successful summit.

    • Elevation: 4,330m (14,200ft) to 4,700m (15,400ft)
    • Hiking time: 4-5 hours

    Today, you'll leave the Mawenzi region behind and trek across the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. You'll reach Kibo Hut, which is the base camp for the summit attempt.

    • Elevation: 4,700m (15,400ft) to 5,895m (19,341ft) to 3,720m (12,200ft)
    • Hiking time: 6-8 hours ascent to Uhuru Peak, 4-6 hours descent to Horombo Hut The summit day! You'll begin your hike in the early hours of the morning to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro, Uhuru Peak, before sunrise. After celebrating your achievement at the summit, you'll descend back to Kibo Hut and continue down to Horombo Hut for the night.
    • Elevation: 3,720m (12,200ft) to 1,860m (6,100ft)
    • Hiking time: 5-6 hours The final leg of the journey takes you through the rainforest from Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate. Here, you'll receive your well-deserved certificate for conquering Kilimanjaro, and then you'll be transferred back to your Hotel.
